Paul Benton is our in-house dedicated Safety Manager. Paul has over 30 years industry experience and is a member of the New Zealand Safety Council. Our Safety Management systems are supported by 3rd Party external auditors. We have also attained ACC Secondary Accreditation, and are a member of ‘Site Safe’ and ‘Operate Safe’.

Paul has over 30 years experience in the industry and is highly experienced in all aspects of Occupational Health & Safety, Earthworks and Heavy Machinery operation. Paul started his career with Hurlstone Earthmoving in 1977 and has numerous of Health & Safety accreditation's, including being a Member of the NZ Safety Council.
Paul is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety statutory requirements, establishing company safety and environmental management plans, and communicating the plans to all employees. Paul also formulates project specific safety management plans which include hazard identification and management, implements action plans, reviews, monitors and reports on safety. He provides site induction and heavy machinery operator training, certifies machinery operators, including driver's license endorsements, site inspections and audits, as well as monitoring company quality assurance programmes.
Outside of the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife on his Taranaki lifestyle block, as well as going to the gym and playing music.
