Are you a strong all rounder and enjoy variety?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self motivated administrator to manage all administration functions within River Island Shingle Company Ltd.
Early starts are required with the successful applicant needing to be on site when the first trucks begin arriving at 7am. This role based in Egmont Village and is full time Monday to Friday.
Reporting directly to the River Island Manager you will be the sole administrator whilst having the advantage of being part of a larger group of companies.
As a sole charge role the duties are varied and include; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entry, fleet data entry, advising/directing of all trucks entering the site, monitoring and recording all loads leaving site, answering incoming calls and all other duties associated with ensuring the efficient running of the office.
The successful applicant will have:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven experience in accounts and administration
- Strong organisational skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel
- Experience using MYOB Accounting
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic attitude who is able to work autonomously and has excellent communication skills. You must be easygoing with a good sense of humour and highly motivated. Does this sound like you?

We boast one of New Zealand's largest, modern and well maintained fleets of Civil Construction equipment.These include Hydraulic Excavators, Bulldozers, Motor Graders, Articulated Dump Trucks, Vibrating Rollers, Compactors, Motor Scrapers, Wheel Loaders, Mobile Crushers, Mobile Screens, Truck & Trailers, Bottom Dumpers and Heavy Plant Transporters.All our plant is the latest technology modern equipment and is regularly updated to ensure reliability and high qualityservices are supplied to our customers.
We are looking for top operatorsand have positions available on thefollowing plant items:
- Excavators – Cat 325D, Cat 320D
- Cat Bulldozers
- Cat Compactors
- Cat 730 Ejector Dumptrucks
The following Classes of Licences are required: WTR (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers / HT)
Experience on Rail projects would be an advantage due to an upcomingcontract - although not essential as we have other Civil Construction contracts underway.
